Brett R. Friedman, CPA, PHD, CVA, DABFA, PFS, is the owner and managing partner of Friedman & Company, Certified Public Accountants for over 30 years. His areas of special competence encompass small business economic, financial, operational management consulting, Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Estate Taxation and Financial Planning. His strengths are derived from experience and understanding business, while providing reliable and responsible customer service.
Brett has a Bachelor of Arts from UC, Santa Barbara, a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and a PHD in Taxation from Hamilton University. Brett is also a Personal Financial Specialist. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and a Diplomate of The American College of Forensic Examiners. Brett also serves as President of Chabad of Irvine Synagogue.
Sofia Peterson, CPA, studied accounting in high school in Sweden, then moved to the US and received her degree in accounting, summa cum laude, from Cal State Fullerton. She has been a CPA for over 20 years, and was initially certified while working for Price Waterhouse LLP. She has extensive work experience in public accounting, private industry and government. Sofia handles all aspects of accounting and tax, and specializes in construction accounting.
Israel Bisk, CPA, studied accounting at York University in Toronto, Canada, then moved to California where he sat for the accounting exams. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and has been practicing accounting for over 5 years. Israel works in all areas of accounting and tax, specializing in dentistry and is a QuickBooks expert. He has also received a bachelor in Rabbinic from the Rabbinical College of America.
